NEW OpenClaw Updates are HUGE! (3.22 + 3.23)

OpenClaw 3.22 dropped on March 22, with 3.23 following ~8 hours later — /btw and a runaway-token fix are the headline wins, but browser control and Nano Banana Pro users will hit breakages.

## What shipped The marquee feature is the new by the way command (/btw), which lets you ask an in-flight agent a side question without killing the workflow. The creator calls it "life-changing" for multi-agent setups — useful for prompts like "by the way, how are you accessing this information?" Discord users have to enable slash commands manually in the server first.

## Token bloat finally addressed Before 3.22, "every message in a session was sent with every new API call," which "gets expensive" on Opus. Version 3.22 introduces proactive context compaction to curb the bleed. Memory is still "not 100% solved" — agents "die" mid-task (e.g., a 10-minute presentation request that returns nothing), so combine this with /btw to ping a stalled agent.

## Breaking changes to watch Browser control was "revamped." Expect disconnects and timeouts on login pages — the creator's own plane-ticket test "constantly broke." If you have browser-control plugins wired up, they will likely need reconfiguration.

## Claw Hub replaces NPM, image gen goes universal Skills now install through Claw Hub instead of NPM — a move the creator frames as "less malicious skills, hopefully." Nano Banana Pro image generation is now model-agnostic, so any custom pipeline you set up will need to be re-pointed.
